Charleston, SC— Charleston, South Carolina is named No. 1 Small City in the United States by Condé Nast Traveler in their 33rd Annual Reader's Choice Awards survey. This is the 10th year in a row that Charleston has been ranked first by Condé Nast readers.

The luxury and lifestyle travel magazine attributes Charleston's history, culture, food, and charm as deciding factors for the 715,000 voters this year. Voters chose from an extensive database of cities and considered multiple factors such as a city's art and culture, friendliness, restaurants, and shopping, among other criteria in their selection. Other cities to have made the list are neighboring Greenville, South Carolina at No. 6 and Savannah, Georgia at No. 8.

This notable achievement is a testament of Charleston's world-renowned hospitality and tourism, and a reflection of the welcoming spirit of the people of Charleston.
